Congratulations to CUO Harry Driscoll who has been promoted to the rank of Cadet Under Officer upon completion of his Senior Leaders Course Module 2 in January 2012. We wish him the best in his new rank and appointment within BHHSACU.

 

First Parade - Term 2 2012

Cadets will resume for Term 2 on Tuesday 24 APR 12.

Cadets will not parade on Thursday 26 APR 12. However, the next parade will be on THURSDAY 03 MAY 12.
Please note this change in date.
 

Chief of Army Cadet Team Challenge Update

Congratulations to the NSW team who have won the RSM-A Trophy for Drill. The overall winner this year was South Queensland - congratulations to all NSW cadets who attended; you have done a great job!

 

Chief of Army Cadet Team Challenge 2012

Congratulations to CDTSGT Jonathan Cheng, who was selected to represent New South Wales in the 2012 Chief of Army Cadet Team Challenge. The CACTC will be held on 01-04 MAR 12 in South East Queensland. 


We wish SGT Cheng and the rest of the team (consisting of cadets from 22BN) good luck, and we are confident they will win it for NSW for the 2nd year running.
 

Expression of Interest - ADVENTURE TRAINING AWARD 2012

The Adventure Training Award (ATA) 2012 will take place in Canberra, ACT, from 10 APR to 17 APR 2012. If you are interested, please speak to LT(AAC) Charlton NLT 09 FEB 12 or send him an email.

All testing must be completed by 16 FEB 12.
 

Expression of Interest - ARMY CADET EXCHANGE 2012

ATTENTION ALL CADETS 16 YEARS AND OVER:

The Annual Army Cadet Exchange planning conference was conducted in Seoul in September 2011. As a result of the conference the following countries have invited members of the Australian Army Cadets to participate in their component of the ACE. 

CANADA: 2 Army Cadet Staff, 14 Cadets.
SOUTH KOREA: 1 Army Cadet Staff, 5 Cadets.

Exchange dates

The dates for the exchange are:
Arrival date in the destination country: 14 July 2012.
Departure date from destination country: 28 July 2012.

These dates do not include domestic travel to the the departure point - Melbourne. Applicants should plan to be away from either work or school from 12 Jul to 31 Jul 12. This will covers not only domestic travel time but also to get over the effects of jet lag.

In order to meet the requirements of having the applications at HQ AAC by 17 Feb, applications are to reach the ASSTCOMD NLT 10 Feb 12

Anyone interested needs to notify LT(AAC) Charlton NLT 06 FEB 12.

Congratulations to ex-CUO De Guzman

Congratulations to ex-CUO Ewy De Guzman on her entry into the Australian Regular Army and the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) on 27 JAN 2012. We wish OCDT De Guzman the best in her studies at ADFA and hope to see her return to visit the unit in the near future.
 

First Parade 2012

All cadets are advised that the unit will begin parading in 2012 in the second week of February ie. 2nd Thursday of Term 1. The first parade for this year will take place at 1510 hours on Thursday 09 FEB 12.

If you are unable to attend, please fill in a leave application form and email this to Mrs Brady.
 

BHHSACU 10th Anniversary Dining-in Night and Birthday Dinner

Baulkham Hills High School Army Cadet Unit is celebrating its 10th Anniversary with a Dining-in Night and Birthday Dinner. This event is compulsory for all cadets in the unit.

Location:
Fox Hills Golf Club
55 Fox Hills Cres, Girraween, 2145
(off Great Western Highway)

Timings:  29 NOV 11, 1830hrs (6:30pm)
to 29 NOV 11, 2200hrs (10:00pm)

The cost is $40.00 per head to cover meals, drinks and awards. This money must be paid when returning the permission note.

Dress:
Male: After 5. Suit or Slacks, Jacket and Tie. Black dress shoes.
Female: After 5. Dress. NO SHORT OR REVEALING CLOTHING.
Cadets and ACS, Sergeant or above: Mess Dress White Jacket (AAC Dress Order 5)

There will be a prize for the best dressed male and female.

Cadets in Year 8 who are participating in an excursion will be granted leave upon receipt of a completed leave application form.

All cadets must return the permission note with full payment NO LATER THAN Thursday 10 NOV 11.
